BUILDING AND RESEARCHING

This screen is similar for both researching and building in the clan dojo.
The most important information to be conveyed were:

Cost to research / build
Duration
Status of item
XP awarded to clan when built.

The idea for this redesign was to resuse the grid system the player has for inventory as the functionality is familiar for going through objects and their information in hover tips.

VERSION 1

The first iteration was looking at making the item being built / researched the feature point of the screen. With some larger named objects this design would not fit so it was on to refining again.

VERSION 2

Here the space was reduced for the preview of the item, with statistics to be placed beside the item window. This would allow it to fit closer between build and research screens with a common research requirement area and time limit with call to actions in one area.

VERSION 2: DECORATION BUILD

Here we had to show the preview of the item being built. The information for building was placed inside the tooltip so players could see without having to select the item.

Here there is clearer information for the player regarding the contribution of resources towards building and total completion rate. The symbol to let players know that contribution is not finished allows better awareness of the current state than having to go through each resource value.
